A Batavia man who led law enforcement on two car chases through multiple counties was sentenced to three to six years behind bars at state prison.

Todd Weaver, 44, of Seven Springs Road was sentenced in County Court this morning on a second-degree criminal mischief charge. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and a surcharge of $325.

Back in November, Weaver, who was apparently under the influence of drugs, almost ran a law enforcement vehicle off the road in Medina and then took off, fleeing Orleans County. Less then one hour later, Batavia Police spotted the vehicle in the city around Oak and Richmond Streets.

Police then continued to chase Weaver, who drove over 50 miles per hour and avoided spike strips, through City streets until he ran out of gas on Clinton Street.
