Two Akron residents are facing charges for allegedly selling alcohol to underage people.

State Police conducted an underage drinking enforcement detail at five establishments, which resulted in the arrests of 28-year-old Jason Wells and 33-year-old Faith Milhollen. Both are charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of alcohol to a minor and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The detail there comes one week after the City of Batavia Police did the same thing at 10 unidentified businesses in our area. None of those investigated sold alcohol to underage persons.

According to State Police, the following establishments were checked and in compliance: The Village Inn, 15 Cedar St., Akron; Main St. Pub, 11986 Main St. Akron & Brauns, 11891 Main St., Akron.

Wells is an employee at Uni-Mart, 12996 Main St., Akron; Milhollen works at The Filler, 40 Main St., Akron.
