Before Congressman Chris Collins was at the GCEDC annual meeting, he met with about 40 local farmers in Batavia for the first meeting of his Agriculture Advisory Board.
Collins is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, so this meeting will allow him to routinely look to the group as a resource to help shape policy in Washington.
Collins says on the agenda for the House Agriculture Committee is a five-year farm bill and new immigration reform related to guest worker visas.
