A case of road rage in Attica.
Police there say 20-year-old Joseph Edel of North Street, Attica was rear ended by another motorist on Washington Street.
Edel, according to Attica PD, got out of his car and accosted the other driver with what police described as an axe handle. The two exchanged a few words until police arrived.
The second driver was charged with following too closely. Edel was charged with harassment and menacing.
A Batavia man is behind bars for allegedly hitting a woman in the face during a domestic incident. It occurred Saturday in a home on State Street.
Daniel Dilaura, 38, of Brooklyn Avenue is charged with harassment.
Bail was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to be in city court later today.
A Batavia man is accused of intentionally driving his vehicle into a parked truck and then into a house early yesterday.
Richard Liberte, 46, of Batavia-Stafford Townline Road is charged with two different counts of criminal mischief.
Damage to the house was substantial, according to deputies.
Liberte was remanded to county jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is set to return to court March 14.
