Today marks the annual United Way “Day of caring” in Genesee County.
A record 215 volunteers fanned out this morning to 45 different work sites….all of them not-for-profit agencies who could use the extra help.
WBTA’s Dan Fischer visited one of the sites, and tells us more about the good that's being done
Also today, the United Way is sponsoring an effort to replenish local food pantries.
Volunteers are stationed at Tops in Batavia where you can donate caned or dry goods that will be distributed to the Salvation Army and the LeRoy Food Bank.
