There has been a fatal accident on Attica Road at Route 20 in the town of Darien.
The accident happened shortly after six this morning.
Preliminary reports indicate this was a two car accident.
An unidentified male driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to ECMC in Buffalo.
Mercy Flight was requested to the scene but had to cancel its response due to bad weather.
Route 238, Attica Road, is closed at Route 20 and traffic is being diverted around the accident scene.
Blowing Lake Effect snow has forced the closing of Wyoming Central and Warsaw Central Schools – those are the only school closings we have received.
Wyoming County is under a Lake Effect Snow Warning until 6 this evening.
A Niagara Falls police woman has been indicted by a Genesee County Grand Jury for slamming a woman into a cinderblock wall at a Darien Lake concert last summer.
Officer Kelly Alcorn has been indicted for second-degree felony assault on 45-year-old Elizabeth Dake of Farmington.
Both women were attending the Jason Aldean concert at the time.
Alcorn has been suspended from the Niagara Falls P-D.
She has pled not guilty to the charge.
Livingston County Sheriff John York: he has announced he will not seek re-election for a seventh term.
York will stay on through the end of his current term this December.
He has endorsed Undersheriff James Szczesniak who has announced his candidacy for the top job.
Laura Lane is leaving her post as President and CEO of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce.
She has accepted a similar job as head of the Livingston County Chamber.
Lane has been with the Wyoming Chamber for seven years, the past three as President.
