U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is scheduled to be in Batavia this morning.
Schumer will call for a relation of Canadian trade rules that he says threaten a 16-million dollar expansion at O-AT-KA Milk Products.
O-AT-KA is planning the expansion to meet the demand of customers such as Alpina and Muller-Quaker, both of which have yogurt making plants in the Batavia Agri-business Park.
Schumer is due in Batavia later this morning.
