A Batavia woman is facing two counts of criminal possession of stolen property.
Jenna Josephite, 24, of West Main Street Road is accused of returning stolen merchandise to Target to exchange for gift cards. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office report then says Josephite allegedly went to Pawn King to get cash for the stolen gift certificates.
Deputies are investigating if she has done this at other local businesses. Josephite is due in Town of Batavia Court Feb. 21.
City of Batavia Police charged 18 people this weekend involved with an underage drinking party at 2 Olyn Avenue.
They were charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21 with intent to consume.
The residents of apartment – 19-year-old Nicholas Gray, 18-year-old Robert Wheeler and 20-year-old Blair Berg – were additionally charged with criminal nuisance. City Police says it has responded to the residence in the past for a similar complaint.
All parties were issued appearance tickets for City Court on Feb. 26. No other names were released.
