The NFL says a record amount of counterfeit merchandise has been confiscated this season.
The league says federal authorities seized $13.6 million worth of goods in a nationwide sting called Operation Red Zone. More than 4,000 jerseys were recovered in a bust in Rhode Island in September and 160,000 bogus Super Bowl items have also been confiscated in recent days.
Most of the counterfeit merchandise is produced in Asia and sold online.
