Two Erie County lawmakers are demanding answers from state officials regarding the death of a 10-year-old Buffalo boy at the hands of his stepfather last year.
Senators Mark Grisanti of Buffalo and George Maziarz of Newfane want to know how Abdi Mohamud was killed a year after his case was referred by police to child protective services.
The boy apparently called 911 a year before his death and reported that he was being abused by his stepfather in his East Side home. The senators raised concerns after reports that state officials are refusing to release the fatality report of the boy's death.
