A LeRoy man who had been caught in the act of breaking into a Batavia home on Summit Street has pleaded guilty.
Twenty-four-year-old Russell Cessna was a suspect in multiple burglaries in Batavia, Stafford and LeRoy.
Cessna appeared in Genesee County Court yesterday and accepted a plea deal that could send him to prison for 5 to 15 years.
He’ll be sentenced Jan. 31.
An Attica man jailed at the Genesee County Jail for driving while ability impaired by drugs is facing more charges.
Joseph Marr, 34, of Nesbitt Road, Attica, is charged with a felony count of promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Marr was released under supervision of Genesee Justice and is set to return to City Court on Feb. 5.
A 78-year-old Erie County man is facing DWI and open container charges.
Keneth Ellis of Holland was allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Town of Java in Wyoming County. Sheriff's deputies were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Ellis refused pre-screening and was arrested by deputies.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Java Court on Feb. 20.
