A California woman was sentenced to 70 months in prison for defrauding Bank of America chains around the country, including the branch in Batavia.

Cassandra Montrevel, 26, of Sacramento was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. She was also ordered to pay $326,000 in restitution.

Montrevel posed as Bank of America account holders in five different states, armed with their social security number and a fake driver’s license in order to withdraw money as that person.

In addition to Batavia, Montrevel also attempted to defraud branches in Irondequoit and Gates.
