A Greece police officer continues to be commended for his actions in last month's deadly shooting incident in Webster.

Officer Jon Ritter was honored by the police department and the Greece Town Board Tuesday night in a ceremony for his quick thinking in preventing other first responders from driving into the "kill zone" during the Christmas Eve shootings.

Ritter managed to keep others away from William Spengler Jr.'s home after Spengler allegedly shot two volunteer firefighters to death and wounded two others as they responded to a blaze at his home.
