Two Lewis Place women are facing charges for allegedly leaving their children unattended.

Twenty-four-year-old Christina Sanchez-Anderson was charged by Batavia Police with endangering the welfare of a child.

A few doors away, at number 10 Lewis Place, 25-year-old Ashley Kreutz of 10 Lewis Place was charged with leaving her two children unattended for four hours.

Police said one was walking the street without shoes.

One child from the Kreutz home was taken to Strong Hospital for evaluation.

Both were committed to County Jail with bail set at $2,500 for Sanchez-Anderson and $5,000 for Kreutz.

An Elba man allegedly involved in a physical domestic incident is facing felony charges.

Thirty-five-year-old David Marsceill of Old Ford Road is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, strangulation and criminal mischief – all felonies.

Marsceill allegedly damaged a vehicle, applied pressure to a person’s throat to cause them to lose consciousness on two separate occasions and was also found to be in possession of brass knuckles.

A Byron man is accused of stealing steel railroad tie plates belonging to the CSX Railroad in the area of Route 19 in the Village of Bergen.

Randy Ridd, 55, of Swamp Road is facing petit larceny and trespass charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Bergen Town Court on Feb. 6.

A Batavia teen is facing a felony sex charge.

Kyle Morse, 17, of Bank Street is charged with criminal sexual act in the first degree for allegedly forcing another person into a sexual act in the Town of Elba on Sept. 21.

Following his arraignment at Batavia Town Court, Morse was released under supervision of Genesee Justice.

An Oakfield man is facing a stalking charge.

Joshua Burns, 26, of North Main Street allegedly sent a test message to a person after being advised by law enforcement to stop all contact.

A Batavia man is facing several charges following a domestic incident in which he allegedly threatened another person.

Christopher Cummings, 33, of Cherry Street is charged with coercion, aggravated harassment, and harassment. Cummings is accused of sending numerous unwanted text messages and spitting on the victim.

Cummings is scheduled to appear in City Court Feb. 7.
