Half-a-season is better than none, according to Buffalo Sabres fans across region.
The National Hockey League owners and players finally came to an agreement this weekend that has ended a long four-month hockey hiatus. The shortened season will have 48 games and will start next week. Sabres fans celebrated the deal over the weekend, and local business owners near the First Niagra Center in downtown Buffalo are hoping the return to the ice will help boost sales.
The Sabres held an informal practice today in Amherst.
