Governor Andrew Cuomo wants to help local governments find innovative ways to reduce costs through organization.
Cuomo has announced $4 million in grant money for cities to come up with ways to save taxpayer dollars through consolidation and reorganization efforts. Administration officials say projects ultimately funded under last year's similar grant program are anticipated to produce multi-year savings of $45 million.
