It should be a decent day for last minute Christmas shopping in the Genesee County today. Skies will become party cloudy with scatted flurries and a high in the lower 30’s. Yesterday our high was 32 degrees with a low of 28, about an average December 22nd day. For Friday and Saturday snow amounts totaled 4.9 inches, just short of 5 inches for the first “BIG” snow fall of the year.

The forecast for Christmas day is calling for mostly cloudy skies, a chance of freezing drizzle and snow in the morning with temperatures in the upper 20’s.

44 year old Jeffrey Cervone of the Skye Road in Basom has been arrested by New York State Police. He was charged with petit larceny on a warrant and turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s office. He was arraigned on the charged in Batavia Town Court and will return to court on January 15th.
