U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer says the House of Representatives needs to take action and pass the bipartisan Senate Farm Bill.
The 2008 Farm Bill expired on Sept. 30. On Jan. 1 the nation will begin to revert to 1940's-era agriculture policy. Schumer is now calling for the House to take action before they leave farmers without a safety net.
