A young Corfu woman is dead following a three-vehicle accident in the in the Alabama Swamp.

19-year-old Kelsey Milks of Corfu was pronounced dead at ECMC in Buffalo about an hour after the accident on Route 63 between Oak Orchard Road and the Genesee-Orleans County Line yesterday evening.

Kelsey Milks was a front-seat passenger in a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 20-year-old Dana Cipra of Batavia.

Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputies describe two separate incidents.

The first was a head-on crash between a northbound Dodge Caravan and the southbound Cavalier.

The impact sent the Caravan off the road and down an embankment. The Cavalier came to rest in the center of the highway.

Moments later, the second event.

A Chevrolet Cobalt struck the Cavalier. The driver of the Cobalt, 73-year-old Walter Hawkins, was treated and released at MedinaHospital.

The occupants of the Cobalt, both from Monroe County, were not injured.

Cipra, the driver of the car in which Kelsey Milks died, remains hospitalized at ECMC.
