Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller is looking forward to the scheduled meeting of NHL owners and players today.
Miller says he can't make sense of what the owners truly need in the ongoing negotiations, so he's hoping to hear from them to get a better idea on how the lockout might finally end. Miller isn't sure if he'll be chosen to be one of the six players that will meet with a half-dozen owners, but says he'll be in New York City today as part of a player contingent for the meeting.
The owners locked out the players Sept. 15, after the previous collective bargaining agreement expired. More than 400 league games have been cancelled including All-Star Weekend and the outdoor Winter Classic game.
