Sorting through one’s options as a veteran isn’t always an easy task.
Instead of having to travel to Buffalo or Rochester, the VA of Western New York is holding an event right here in Batavia tomorrow.
Veterans can learn what services they’re eligible for and entitled to.
Whether it’s transitional care or preventative care, the VA offers a wide array of options for those who’ve served in our military. Evangeline Conley, the VA Western New York’s Public Service Officer, says when veterans know their options, they can acquire comprehensive care.
“Whatever the need might be for that veteran – if they’re eligible for VA health care – they’re going to get it," Conley said. "They’re going to get the help they need.”
The VA offers services for all kinds of veterans whether elderly, or just returning from combat. There’s even a new center being built in Batavia for female veterans’ needs.
Veterans can enroll anytime for VA health benefits. The meeting takes place tomorrow from 10 to 2 p.m. at the VA site at 2222 Richmond Avenue.
