The Department of Environmental Conservation has released its latest set of proposed regulations for hydrofracking as talks continue about allowing the controversial drilling process in the Empire State.

Thursday was the deadline for the DEC to finalize the regulations, which the public can begin commenting on starting Dec. 12.  State officials, meanwhile, continue to work to complete a health-impact study on hydrofracking.
