A LeRoy woman is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing someone’s wallet.
Tovia Poles, 24, of West Main Street, LeRoy is facing a felony count of grand larceny. The LeRoy Police Department says the wallet accidentally fell to the ground as its owner drove away and Poles allegedly didn’t return it to the rightful owner or to the Police Department.
Police say Poles allegedly destroyed the contents of the wallet and purposed it for her own personal use. She is set to appear in LeRoy Town Court at a later date.
A Batavia man is accused of stealing property from Darien Lake Theme Park.
John Jaccoud of Hutchins Street is facing a petit larceny charge following an investigation by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say Jaccoud stole from the theme park while he was an employee there.
He was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Darien Court for Dec.11.
A Batavia man locked up in the Genesee County Jail is facing a new charge for aggravated sexual abuse.
55-year-old Raymond Leach of Montclair Avenue allegedly jammed a toothbrush into the backside of another inmate while that inmate was sleeping. Leach was arraigned and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is set to re-appear in City Court Dec. 20.
