A deal involving a Muckdogs move to Binghamton has reportedly shut down.
The website ESPNNewYork.com is reporting that a deal between Ottawa and Binghamton officials to send the Double-A B-Mets to Canada has fallen through.
A Baseball America report this week indicated that the agreement between Ottawa and Binghamton was pending a finalized deal and that Binghamton was eyeing the Muckdogs as a short-season replacement to the B-Mets. The ESPNNewYork.com report says the Baseball America article was true as the time before the deal went sour.
The article does not speculate on the impact on Batavia.
