Less than a week into hunting season, State Police in Warsaw have distributed several tickets for violations in Wyoming County involving the enforcement of hunting rules and violations.

The issues ranged from failure to tag a deer, illegal taking of an antlered deer, failing to accompany youth hunters, and accepting a buck carcass tag of another and more.

The seven Wyoming County hunters were issues appearance tickets for their respective town courts for the infractions.

Along with hefty fines, game law violators should forfeit their guns used during the violation. Game law enforcement can't be everywhere at once, but if the word got out that you would lose your deer gun, as well as have to pay a couple of thousand dollars in fines, it would cut down on infractions. Now wouldn't it?
