Parts of the New York metropolitan area continue to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The Batavia and LeRoy Rotary Clubs are trying to help.
Through 6 pm Friday at the American Legion in LeRoy, the organization is collecting items for a relief drive. Volunteers are filling a tractor trailer and expect the goods to be in the region hard-hit by the storm tomorrow.
Volunteers are following the truck to Staten Island to help unload the truck which leaves tomorrow morning. The Batavia and LeRoy Rotary clubs are teaming up with Buffalo and Canada clubs to make sure the truck is filled. Cash and checks are also accepted.
