A Buffalo man found guilty of second degree murder last month for beating his 10-year-old stepson to death received the maximum sentence today.
Ali Mohamad Mohamud received 25 years to life in Erie County Court.
Convicted last month of tying his stepson Abdi to a chair and beating him to death in the basement of his Eastside home in April, Mohamud addressed the court and apologized to his family, according to local media reports.
