Former state Comptroller Alan Hevesi will be released from prison on parole after 19 months.
A parole hearing Wednesday at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in Oneida County approved Hevesi’s second request for parole. He will be released Dec.19.
The 72-year-old was serving time behind bars for his role in a pay-to-play corruption scandal involving the state employee pension fund during his time in office.
