A Batavia man has been charged with criminal contempt and menacing.
Batavia Police say 59-year-old Richard Coughlin of Fisher Park violated an order of protection by yelling and screaming and clenching and raising his fist at a person he was ordered to stay away from.
Coughlin has been jailed on $2,500 bail.

A Bank Street man involved in a domestic disturbance is facing charges for attempted burglary, criminal contempt and criminal mischief.
31-year-old Michael Valle allegedly tried to break into the home of a person he was ordered to stay away from.
He was remanded to county jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Batavia man who they say was wanted in Nevada on charges of sexually assaulting a child.
27-year-old Kevin Bacon II was pulled over Saturday for driving without any head or tail lights in Batavia when deputies learned Bacon was wanted on a charge of sexual assault of a child under the age of 14.
Bacon is currently being held in county jail without bail.

A Bergen man was charged with possession of LSD and a quantity of marijuana.
The charges follow an investigation stemming from a domestic dispute on October 20. 23-year-old Lucas Yauchzee was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the LSD and unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Town Court.
