Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception in the end zone in the game's final moments as the Buffalo Bills lost a thriller against the New England Patriots in Foxboro.
The interception by Devin McCourty sealed a 37-31 win for the Patriots, who have now defeated the Bills 12 straight times at Gillette Stadium.
Fitzpatrick had a strong game before the final interception, throwing for 337 yards and two touchdown passes. The Bills started the potential-game-winning drive with more than two minutes remaining in regulation.
“The only thing you can ask for as a quarterback is a chance at the end to win the game," Fitzpatrick said. "We had that today. We did. We held them to a field goal at the end there. We were able to drive down and have a couple shots at the end zone, but weren’t able to get it done.”
Buffalo's record falls to 3-and-6. The Bills play a nationally-televised game against Miami on Thursday. Tune in for our Bills Report with Pat Malacaro today at 12:30 and 5:00.
