The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify a 1979 murder victim.
The girl’s body was discovered in a field in Caledonia exactly 32 years ago today.
She had been shot and left to die just off the highway in a cold, desolate cornfield.
Over the past three decades, thousands of leads have been developed, but neither the girl’s body, nor her killer have ever been identified.
Sheriff John York and his agency say have not given up the hope of someday identifying the young girl.
Medical examiners believed she was between 13 and 19 years old.
If you have any information, contact the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office at 243-7100.
