Batavia Police is investigating a hit-and-run accident which occurred on Oct. 25 between 2:15 and 2:20 in the afternoon.
A white Chevrolet van belonging to Next Generation Vending was parked along the sidewalk in the rear parking lot of the YMCA off Bank Street and was struck by a vehicle backing out of one of the 15 minute parking spaces.
Police say the suspect vehicle was a newer black SUV which had an unknown web address written on the back hatch. The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as an older male wearing a baseball cap. It appears he may not have been aware that he struck another vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Batavia PD at 345-6350.
