Despite dozens of still-in-the-dark homes across the tri-state area, many residents are getting out to the polls to cast their ballots.
Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order yesterday allowing displaced voters to cast ballots at any polling site in the state. The changes apply only to voters who were forced out by the storm in New York City and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Con Edison still has 115,000 outages, while Orange and Rockland Utilities reports 11,000 customers without lights.
