The man accused of killing his girlfriend in her College at Brockport dorm room pleaded not guilty to murder charges in court today.
Clayton Whittemore is accused of killing 18-year-old Alexandra Kogut last month.
Court papers say Whittemore admitted to a sheriff's deputy that the couple had been arguing, and that he "just snapped."
Whittemore is charged with one count of second degree murder. If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
He is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to court in December.
