Sentencing scheduled yesterday for an undocumented immigrant who stabbed a woman to death in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Albion last October was postponed.
24-year-old Luis Rodriguez-Flamenco’s public defender named Sanford Church was unable to attend. It was rescheduled to next week.
Rodriguez-Flamenco faces 25 years to life in prison for the October 30th stabbing death of 45-year-old Kathleen Byham.
Byham was walking to her car after finishing shopping when Rodriguez-Flamenco attacked her, stabbing her several times with a knife.
Rodriguez-Flamenco pleaded guilty July 18 to second-degree murder.
