Southwest Airlines will begin service in and out of Rochester in Spring 2013.
Rochester is among four cities being converted from AirTran to Southwest.
Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks says she hopes the new destinations will cut down on the number of Rochester area residents who chose to fly out of Buffalo instead.
