An 18-year-old man is facing a criminal impersonation charge after he allegedly pretended to be a parent who signed a doctor’s note to get an Elba High School student out of class, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

Damon Bradford of Scottsvillle is accused of defrauding the school. He was arrested and arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court yesterday. Bradford was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Elba Court Oct. 24.
