Rian Lindell nailed a game-winning 25-yard field goal in overtime to lift the Bills past the Cardinals 19-16. C.J. Spiller rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries for Buffalo, which evened its record at 3-3.
Buffalo running back Fred Jackson added 53 yards and a score on 16 carries in the victory.
Jackson said it was great to see the team not hang their head after Jay Feely's 61-yard field goal to tie the game with under 1:30 in regulation.
“You can easily get down when someone makes a 61-yard field goal and hang your head, but our guys kept fighting," Jackson said. "They had a shorter field goal that you’re almost expecting them to make, but guys went out there and played anyway. That’s just we’re going to have to do . None of these games are going to come easy – especially on the road – so you have to tip your hat to everybody on the field today.”
