Alex Smith threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns as the 49ers bashed the Bills, 45-3.
The Bills’ defense allowed over 300 yards rushing and 300 yards passing which had never been done in the history of the NFL. The Bills were also outgained by 417 yards – the most in team history.
Ryan Fitzpatrick was 16-of-26 for 126 yards and an interception for Buffalo, which fell to 2-and-3 with its second straight loss. Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller combined for just 53 yards on 16 carries in defeat.
Tight end Scott Chandler says that something needs to happen soon to address the team’s recent bad performance.
“It shouldn’t happen in the NFL. We’re all professionals out there and we gotta find a better way to stay in games and we gotta figure it out quick because nobody’s going to sit there and wait for us to figure it out," he said.
Stay tuned throughout Monday for WBTA's Pat Malacaro's report about the game.
