United Memorial Medical Center is adding to its facilities in LeRoy.
The hospital plans to open an Urgent Care Center on Tountas Avenue by July 1st.

The grim search will continue later this morning in Canandaigua Lake for the body of a young man feared drown. All that has been recovered is the cell phone of 20-year-old Randall Lis of Victor. He and a friend, 19-year-old Zack Frey of Canandaigua, went canoeing last Wednesday. Authorities believe the boat capsized. Frey’s body was recovered on Saturday.
Democrat Matt Zeller from Victor has made it official. He is running for the vacant 29th Congressional seat. The 28-year-old veteran from the war in Afghanistan says he wants to start creating jobs. Zeller is the Democratic Party choice to run in a possible special election to fill the seat vacated by Eric Massa.
Governor David Paterson has not yet called for a special election and has indicated the process may be too expensive.
A Felony Drunk Driving charge lodged against a Town of Darien woman.
25-year-old Shannon Albano of Friedman Road was arrested early yesterday morning on Griswold Road. A felony DWI charge is usually placed when a suspect has a previous drunk driving conviction.
Some people never learn, even with a name like Mciver.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies say 22-year-old Joshua Mciver of Brooklyn was told last February to stay away from College Village.
On April first, he was arrested for allegedly trespassing there and just yesterday, deputies say they found him at College Village again…this time, they say, Mciver was hiding under a desk concealing himself with a bed comforter.
He was charged again and set free on his own recognizance.
