The superintendent of the Warsaw Central School District has resigned.
Valerie Burke turned in her resignation last night during a special meeting of the Warsaw Board of Education
The vote to accept Burke’s resignation followed a 90-minute Executive Session.
A week ago, the board learned that Burke had been arrested for drunk driving last year in Rochester. At the time, her blood alcohol count was reported at .15, nearly twice the legal limit.
The Warsaw Board of Ed has named elementary school principal Steven Saxton interim superintendent.
