If you’ve ever used the thruway in Batavia, you know that the city is a hotspot for hotels.
They dot the landscape along the highway and as of today, there is a new addition.
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites conducted the ceremonial ribbon-cutting today. Genesee County Tourism Information Coordinator Dawn Ireland-Monsees says that Batavia appeals to all kinds of travelers due to its convenience.
“There’re all kinds of different things that you can do that are well within a driving-distance where you can come back at night and decide what you’re going to do the next day," she said.
The 72-room, 30-suite hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center and offers laptops for checkout. The four-story building replaced the Ambassador Conference center.
