The United Way of Genesee County has kicked off its 2013 campaign.
The local United Way hopes to raise $365,000 between now and next spring when the drive officially ends.
Dennis Burke and Charlie Cook from Liberty Pumps are co-chairs of this year’s campaign.
Cook is President of Liberty Pumps and says participating in the United Way is just good business.
“For any company, it shows their commitment and concern for the local community,” Cook said. “The fact that most companies support their employee contributions in some way, I think, amplifies that contribution. I know it’s made a huge difference for our company.”
The United Way of Genesee County supports 15 local human service agencies.
