Five school districts in Orleans County were awarded funding to use on whatever they want. Senator George Maziarz announced that he was able to secure 50-thousand dollars in a Legislative Education Aid Grant for each of the schools to spend on their top priorities.
The Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina school districts were given the award at the Medina Central School Office Thursday. Maziarz said he hopes the schools will use the grant on things they had to cut from this year’s school budget.
