An Elba teen who ran from the law may now be headed for the state lock-up.
17-year-old Christopher Laird was in Genesee County Court today. He pleaded guilty to a violation of probation. Laird had failed to report to probationary meetings since early January. Police had been searching for him since then.
Laird was cornered in Batavia in a law enforcement dragnet on April 2nd but somehow managed to escape. He was captured two days later.
Laird may now have his probation revoked and serve up to three years in state prison. He may also face a separate charge for running from police on April 2nd.
