A Rochester woman is facing a number of felony charges. 27-year-old Brittany Benway allegedly used a stolen license to cash several checks at a bank in Alden.

After bank workers became suspicious and questioned her Benway allegedly fled the scene. State police then caught up to her and made an arrest.

Benway was charged with Possession of a forged Instrument, Identity theft, Grand Larceny, Scheme to defraud and a misdemeanor charge of attempted Grand Larceny.

Benway is in the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of a 25-thousand cash bail.
