Firefighters in the Livingston County community of Livonia are trying to figure out what sparked a fire at an elementary school. It took nearly a dozen fire departments to get the blaze under control at David DeLoria School.
It appears to have damaged the roof over the section that has fourth and fifth grade classrooms.
School officials say roofers were working on the roof at the time fire started.

A Pennsylvania man reportedly tried to bring a handgun onto a plane at Buffalo Niagara International Airport yesterday morning. The Transportation Security Administration says the unidentified man tried to board a flight to Atlanta with a loaded 380-caliber handgun in his carry on bag. The man has not been identified, he was detained and questioned, although officials have not revealed whether or not he was arrested.
