Fire early this morning extensively damaged a sand blasting facility on the lot of Hanson Aggregates Inc. in Pavilion.
The initial alarm, just after 5:30a.m, brought Pavilion Volunteer to the scene. Within minutes, fire companies from three counties were dispatched to the scene at 6896 Ellicott St. Rd. (Route 63). A passing truck driver reported the fire.
Pavilion Fire Chief Paul Dougherty was among the first on the scene.

Volunteers and equipment from Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston Counties responded.The steel sided building measured 75ft in length, 20 ft. wide and 25ft. tall.
Route 63 was closed for a short time. There were no injuries.
The cause remains under investigation.
