Community Action Of Genesee And Orleans Receives Grant For Head Start

Community Action of Orleans and Genesee County will receive nearly $1.2-million in funding for their Head Start programs.  

Congresswoman Kathy Hochul helped secure the $1,174,114 grant from U.S. department of Health and Human Services.

The Head Start program is for children ages birth through five who are in low income families. It promotes school readiness by enhancing young children’s cognitive, social and emotional development.
