Several museums in Western New York are participating in an effort that will allow military families to get into some local museums for free.
The Blue Star Museums Initiative will allow military families free admission into museums from Memorial day through Labor day with their military identification card.
Locally the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia is participating.
As well as Lockport’s Niagara County History Center, the Colonial William Bond Jesse Hawley House and the North TonawandaHistoryMuseum.
Congresswoman Kathy Hochul led the free museum admission initiative.
